Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 26, 2026These are the child safety standards for WorkCarousel, a social network about work for working adults, published by WorkCarousel. They apply to everything on the service: posts, messages, Water Coolers, profiles, shelf items, and company pages.
WorkCarousel is for adults only
You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the app. Every new account is asked for a date of birth, and anyone who gives a date under 18 cannot continue. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
WorkCarousel prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated imagery;
- content that sexualizes minors;
- grooming, or any attempt to contact, solicit, or arrange to meet a minor for sexual purposes;
- sextortion, trafficking, or any other exploitation of a minor;
- sharing, requesting, or linking to any of the above.
An account that posts, shares, or seeks this material is permanently banned, without warning.
How to report
- In the app. Report any post, message, or profile from its overflow menu, and choose the child safety reason. You can also block the member from their profile or any of their posts.
- By email. support@workcarousel.com. Describe where you saw it, but do not send, forward, or screenshot the material itself.
- Outside WorkCarousel. You can report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
What we do when something is reported
- Child safety reports skip community Jury review and go straight to our moderators. They are never shown to other members.
- We remove the content and suspend the account as soon as we confirm a violation, and in all cases act within 24 hours of the report.
- We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as U.S. law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement.
- We preserve the reported material and account information only as long as the law requires for investigation, and restrict access to it.
Prevention
Posts pass automatic screening before they are published. Sensitive content is off by default. Members can block anyone instantly, and blocking notifies us so we can review that member's conduct.
Compliance with the law
WorkCarousel complies with applicable child safety laws, including U.S. federal reporting requirements for providers of online services.
