HR Data Labs® to Preview WorkCarousel at HR Tech 2026

“Talk about work. Honestly.” New social app invites people to share the experiences behind their job titles.

CHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 20, 2026. HR Data Labs® today announced it will preview WorkCarousel, a new social app built around the real experience of work, at HR Tech 2026, Oct. 20 to 22, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Built for anyone who works, WorkCarousel starts with a simple idea: a title does not tell your story. The app gives people a place to talk about what their work is like, including the challenges, small wins, questions, and everyday moments that rarely make it onto a professional profile. Its tagline captures that purpose: “Talk about work. Honestly.”

Members use their real names and build profiles that reflect their work, interests, and the experiences that brought them where they are today. Four things make the app different from a professional network. There is no like button, so nothing is optimized for reach. Each post has a format and mood chosen by the writer, so readers know how to take it before the first line lands. Career history forms rooms rather than a list: each job, school, volunteer role, and camp opens onto everyone who shared it, in groups the app calls Cohorts that assemble on their own, so nobody has to add strangers. A member can hand the app a résumé, which it reads on the device, with the file never uploaded.

Day to day, members answer a standing question that changes daily, post to the main feed, join the Cohorts their own history opens, and message each other directly.

The app is deliberate about what it permits. Members can describe their own working lives, including naming the company they work for. WorkCarousel’s published Content Policy states that honesty is the point, not a license, and that it prohibits harassment, defamation, and publishing another person’s private information. When a post is reported, it goes to a Jury drawn from the members of the room it was posted in, who see it and vote, alongside review by WorkCarousel’s moderators. Reports about child safety, and reports about intimate images shared without consent, never go to a vote.

WorkCarousel is in early beta. It is live in the Google Play Store, in beta on iPhone, and it runs in a browser with no install. The HR Data Labs team is meeting with HR and workplace professionals at the conference to demonstrate the app, gather feedback, and help shape its development.

“We don’t want to build WorkCarousel in a vacuum. We want to build it with people who understand work because they live it every day. HR Tech allows us to put WorkCarousel in their hands, listen to what they have to say, and let those early users help shape where we go next,” said David Turetsky, Founder & Managing Consultant, HR Data Labs®.

Media and industry guests attending HR Tech can arrange a demonstration or an interview through the contact below. About WorkCarousel

WorkCarousel is a social network about work, for working people, any career. Members post under their real names about their actual job experiences, and each post carries a format and mood chosen by the writer. There is no like button. Career history forms rooms, called Cohorts, rather than a list, so every job, school, volunteer stint, and camp opens onto everyone who shared it. When a post is reported, the room’s members decide what happens to it.

A note on what we will and will not say

WorkCarousel is early and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. We will not give out member counts, download figures or engagement numbers we cannot stand behind, and we will not describe the product as bigger than it is. If you need a number for a story, ask, and we will tell you either the real one or that we are not sharing it yet.
